Biography:
Our beloved Matriarch, Doris Mascarelli, age 94, was born in the Bronx, NY on June 4, 1929. She worked as a Teacher’s Aid for Special Education students at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel school in Little Italy, Bronx NY for over 20 years. She enjoyed many years of retirement with her loving family eventually moving to Putnam Valley, NY until she was moved to the care of San Souci Nursing Home where she was closer to much of her family. Doris was the devoted wife of Francis J. Mascarelli until his death in 1995. Together, they had their children, Louis and Anthony (twins) and Rosemary. She was the most fun and caring grandmother to her 6 grandchildren, Angelina (Riley), Louis (pre-deceased 2014), Danielle, Michael, Matthew and Amanda. She was a Great-Grandmother to Vincent Louis Riley and to baby girl Riley. Doris was a faithful and God- loving woman and we take comfort in knowing she is with God, the saints and all of our angels who have passed on before, including her sister’s Irene Sacco (Thomas) and Marie aka Lou Kenny (Robert). Reunited in eternal peace. Our beloved Matriarch will be dearly missed. She lived a long and full life but the values and love she gave to us all will always live on in our hearts, to be passed down to the next generations. Arrangements entrusted to FLOWER FUNERAL HOME INC., 714 YONKERS AVE., with visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 pm. Funeral mass Thursday 10:30 am at St. John the Baptist Church with a interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt. www.FlowerFH.com
